| Soleil West's Environmental Design & LEED Experience: |
With the growing importance of architectural sustainability, Soleil West has become an avid contributor to environmentally conscious design, and Kevin Balciar and Sandra Johnson are both LEED Accredited Professionals (BD+C). At Soleil West, every project, whether it is to become LEED certified or not, employs recycled materials, sustainable strategies. and energy efficient mechanical and electrical systems. We pride ourselves in giving the New Mexico community buildings that respond to and respect the environment, without sacrificing the integrity of the design. We have used both passive and active solar heating and power strategies for our buildings, as well as integrated water catchment systems to harvest rainwater for irrigation purposes. Although not every project is required to become LEED certified, sustainable design is always the priority for Soleil West's projects. |
